The wonderful Yoshiko Tamura, for me,one of the best womens wrestlers in the world today.I really enjoy her matches and her character.Shes cool, she kicks ass, shes very attractive ect and shes one of the good girls.I love the way she always takes to the crowd before the match and shaking hands with them (iv had the privlage to handshake with her at a neo show, very gorgeous girl and is actually quite small but not tiny as i said in the previous forum), and her pose with her hands pointing like guns.

I like Yoshiko a lot.  Sometimes her 'cool' ring persona doesn't work for me, it just depends on who she is wrestling, but thats quite rare, otherwise she is ace.  Love her ring gear and her entrance theme and the fact that she interacts with the crowd like Totoro said.  She's a good champ for a company to have.  Heck, I love her blue eyeshadow, which is as cool as her and I even like the way she sounds when she talks.  I think if I met her I would go all   test2 just at the sound of her voice.  Ahem  *chl *reminds self to be less odd*
Yoshiko is good!

Death Metal Priestess. MY death metal priestess.

You know lucky, I was just about to make this thread...oh, how you made me look bad  *wail

I do love her polo shirts though, mix them with some cowboy boots and borrow Shu's new skirt and shes untouchable!

Decided to give her blog a look, to see if she dishes on losing the title or what she plans on doing now, and here's what came up:

squadoosh!

Really, the only thing on her blog is her schedule and raw results...like that at the NEO on the 6th, she beat Miki Ishii with a Patriot Buster.

There's some news, ain't it?

Damn, would it kill her to do something with her blog...talk some shit, take some pics that you can't find on the NEO website, something, ANYTHING?

She might be awesome in the ring, but her blog is poor...very, very poor... *wail

Maybe she's one of those people who don't do that sort of thing.

SWIFT made this.

Wierd.  I'm just watching Naoya Ogawa versus Toshiaki freakin Kawada and Ogawa came out to Tamura's music.  I haven't heard of a wrestler using anothers music before, does anybody know if there is some reason they've used the same tune?

That music has been the generic NWA-in-Japan music forever. I'm actually wondering if Tamura has changed her music now that she's not champ anymore...

Ogawa was probably holding an NWA title at the time, and if it was from old ZERO-ONE they used to play it on their television leading into NWA title defenses (when they were part of the NWA).

Thanks lucky, thats pretty interesting and makes sense.  Seen an abosolute ton of Puro and Joshi over the last year and there's still a load I don't know anything about.  Maybe Haruka is coming out to that music at the moment? Its a bit odd though. It kind of implies to me that the wrestler is less important than the title they are holding, in some respects.
I'm actually shocked TNA dont do something similar  *whee
I am slightly bummed at the prospect of Tamura not coming out to that.  Does anybody know what she used before that then and what it sounded like?

Yeah, some of the Japanese folks I know were telling me that Halloween is kind of taking off in Japan.

It also spiked in the US this year as apparently Americans spent around $5 billion on costumes, candy etc. The person who's blog this is says something about Osamu Nishimura doing something similiar in HUSTLE too...

Its Nishimura's Hustle gimmick. Either Tamura is a fan of Nishimura, Hustle, or both. Either way this gets her even more points in my book.

Seen an abosolute ton of Puro and Joshi over the last year and there's still a load I don't know anything about.

Haha, ditto.  No matter how many old and new shows/matches I've seen, there's still a TON I haven't.  Oh well, I'm loving every minute with it.  I didn't realize that Tamura's music was so generic.  I always thought it was unique and deadpan.  Oh well, I dig it..  How long HAS she been champ, anyway?

She has been NEO's top champ either three or four times I cant remember which.  I had found a website somewhere that had the NEO singles title changes on it but I cant remember where for the life of me.  She recently lost the titles to Haruka Matsuo, which might be a controversial happening depending on who you talk to.  She was the first ever NEO doubles champion in 2000 according to the neo website.

She won the NWA title from Nicole Bass  *haha

and if she was gonna lose the title to anyne this year, it shouldve been Emi or Kyoko Kimura. Not that I would want her to lose it, but they sure as hell would make better champions then Matsuo (I like her and all, but shes not a face champion....yet)

And the fact Tamura has been the champ for YEARS, every title match in the last year was a BIG DEAL.
I seriously thought she would lose it to Emi. Same with Matsuo...and I was right  *give

at NEO on September 23. Apparently it was a bad match. Maybe not terrible, but for a title match where the Priestess is finally dethroned, it could've been better. ALOT better.

Nothing.

I disagree, lmao!! Are you saying the titles werent credible when Tamura was holding them?
Tamura, the year before, retained her titles against Toyota. She has earned her stripes long ago, like beating Kyoko Inoue for the NEO title. And has had some "proven self worthy" moments with Aja Kong
