Natalie Neidhart's timing seems like it has been off since she debuted in Deep South Wrestling after getting her developmental deal. It's like she is at a loss for what to do between moves... unlike in Japan where that void was filled with transitions culminating in stiff lariats or German suplexes, which aren't staples of women's wrestling in WWE. A perception could be that McCool is more comfortable with what she wants/needs to do by Diva standards. That's not a knock on Natalie, but it is something I've noticed about her going back to her DSW matches... the awkward timing, that is.

If Nattie's outfits are anything to go by, she must really feel out of place. Add to that the rumor that McCool has been at odds with Nattie ever since Michelle tried to re-educate her in the "WWE Style."
During that match, the most glaring for me was how long Nattie just waited for McCool to do her short dropkick.

I thought you haven't seen volumes 1 and 2 yet?

just snippets, not entire matches that's why i'm on the prowl for the full length matches

while the taker-mccool thing has yet to be confirmed (i don't think it would ever be given the private nature of mark callaway), that kind of attitude would really ignite negative backstage heat for michelle (no, she's not cool)
worse, she's trying to educate a 3rd generation hart wrestler at that sounds like some jobber teaching owen hart the ropes

What about her outfits?

If the story is true, what's so out of whack about it? McCool has more WWE-style experience. She's been working that style since 2004. Natalie didn't really start to broaden the base of her experience until 2004, and that would be in a direction totally opposite of what WWE women do in the ring. Granted Neidhart has more actual pro wrestling experience, but what she learned in Japan isn't really beneficial in a place where stiff lariats and German suplexes with bridges aren't part of the normal routine for the women. I think Neidhart is really good, but has been struggling with her in-ring flow since she entered the DSW developmental. It would be like if McCool suddenly had to work the indy or joshi styles... even with her fair-to-middle athletic ability and four years of in-ring experience.

No sure what the "no, she's not cool" comment was about...

She doesn't like her so she felt the need to make that remark.

Hmm... That does make a bit of sense. It sounds awkward when a "diva" attempts to re-educate a member of the Hart clan the nuisances of wrestling in a mainstream format. Normally, one would assume the situation to be the other way around.

Regarding Michelle vs. Natalya - Came off as a pretty selfish performance from Michelle for me. She just threw Nattie's timing off by wanting to hit so many things quickly despite not being fluid with sequences yet.

She had akward timing in shimmer though too.

Interesting. I'll have to go back and watch her matches on those volumes. I seem to remember her not being as awkward or off-beat as she has seemed to be in DSW and WWE. I wonder what the dates were on those SHIMMER tapings and if she had already started her WWE developmental work.

In the proper context, it's like she's been trying to unlearn her international style, Hart Dungeon stuff that she developed for seven years... and learn the WWE flow of a women's match in just a little over a year.

Volume 7 is the match i'm mainly talking about(10/22/2006.) Where she kept telegraphing moves and having akward spots like that.

it's a nice belt.
But,
It isn't gold
It doesn't say it is a world title
it is not Extreme.

sadly, ECW exist only in name and memory.

I like the design and I like silver but since it's ECW, I keep thinking that it looks like the same material they use for the trash cans for Extreme Rules matches.  *hee

Mickie v Katie at NoC.

I am a little behind on watching this one, and this Tube video quality sucks (I have the PPV on DVD, and I think I might rip it to high quality .avi and post on Veoh).  But I really, really enjoyed this match!  Fast-paced from the first minute, some nice spots, good drama, and a fairly hot crowd for a Divas match.  This Katie seems to really have something, and Mickie looked fantastic as usual.  Three thoughts:

1.  Do you think Mickie really hurt her shoulder/arm a bit, or was she just power-selling?  I would say she did hurt it based on how she acted as she walked backstage.  Lots of non-fake-looking wincing.  Nice psychology from Katie to keep working that arm, and I thought Mickie's struggle and eventual arm-dragged escape from the submission hold was a nice piece of matwork on both their parts.

2.  Isn't it interesting that Mickie is now the Queen who has to be taken down?  It was just nigh-on 4 years ago that psycho-Mickie debuted to challenge the then-Queen Trish.  I'm so proud of my girl and all she's done -- she's the one who first got me to loving women's rasslin, I think with her Mania 22 win. . . *whee

3.  I like Katie's feud with Mickie, but I am obligated to cheer against her.  When she moves on to someone else (and she might have already -- I haven't seen the last 3 or 4 RAWs yet), then I think I will be on her side.   *bwah

On another forum I visit, the Diva marks already created a poll asking how long it will be before WWE eliminates the Divas Championship Title.

Anyway, the new ECW Title looks really nice.

Philadelphia is a city. And Paul Heyman wasn't a founding member of Eastern Championship Wrestling.

Todd Gordan was the owner of ECW(before it became extreme thanks to Paul Heyman)

Todd also owned PWU(ProWrestlingUnplugged)
Now I believe he's tired and now it's under the control of "Johnny Cashmir"
