I was going to start watching Kamen Rider, but I stopped before I got far. Started two of them. One was blade which just wasn't doing much for me. The other was Kuuga which I was digging, but it waasn't subbed far and it got licensed.

Who the hell licensed Kuuga? I need to know about this!

Ah some clarification...

Adness licensed Kamen Rider RYUKI not Kamen Rider KUUGA (unless they got another Rider show). RYUKI is being done by Adness with help from the Wang brothers (they who gave us Kung-Fu Rascals and unfortunately the live action Guyver movies).  The US localization is being called Kamen Rider Dragon Knight and looks to be about as bad as Saban's Masked Rider (at least from the trailer I saw). I know GARO has been optioned for localization but really unless they want to totally mess up the stry I don't see it working.

Well thats what crunchyroll has down, but I think they have been scared off of some stuff before groups actually licensed them in the past. Doesn't matter though as not many fo the episodes were subbed and the group you mentioned earlier stopped subbing them.

Yeah TVNihon only got to episode 5 with Ryuki. But every Rider how from FAIZ on has been subbed by them (they are doing a good job with KIVA, the current Rider series).

They also have done subs GARO, Sh15uya (A great show) and a select bunch of anime titles. Most of their stuff is actually on VEOH (including their sub of the 1st Z Gundam which got taken off of torrents).

Well Cruncyroll doesn't want to ruin future chances at having licensed anime. Right now they have a deal with Geonon entertainment, or wahever it is, to showcase them on the site for free.

I thought the only deal they had was with Gonzo to show BLASSREITER and Tower of Druaga (both worth checking out by the way). Looking back now at a few Geneon titles they do seem to have removed the licensed by deal.

I've done some catching up.

Really enjoying Soul Eater's approach, even if the plot is dead. I like how Death himself's soul is encompassing the whole island.

Monochrome Factor continues to get interesting.

Macross Frontier is slowing down for me, but I'm sure it'll get like Gundam 00 was.

Nabari no Ou is one of the best ninja type anime's I've seen in ages. (Hate Naruto) We're only a few episodes in and I eagerly await the next episode.

MAR's nearing it's end. Shame really because it's a good series. But I don't think they can drag out the battles with Chess much longer than this final round.

Vampire Knight, Amatsuki, and The Daughter of 20 faces continue to keep me involved.

And of course Kamen no Maid Guy, Kanokon, ToLoveRu, and Special A are the quirky, lovey-dovey-ness to seperate the action filled anime's. Plus they are funny.

Loving Soul Reaper as well. Curious on what the plot will be when we get that far. Also love Shinigami-sama covering the whole area with his soul.

Enjoying Nabari no Ou though I'm not sure I would go as far as one of the best ninja anime's. Do like the direction it took with episode 6 though.

Continuing to enjoy Tower of Druaga. Nothing much yet though it has its fun moments. Curious on the older brother's past with the Tower and that spirit chick who keeps bothering him.

Kamen no Maid Guy is just so messed up I can't help, but enjoy it. Kogurashi is just a particularly out there character with his look and personality. He is just so oblivious to the other sex and the wrong things he is doing to women in the name of his master.

RE-watched Macross Frontier 6 along with the 2 Hokuto No Ken OVAs. I really think the end of Macross F 6 is one of the finest endings to an episode I've ever watched. It was that good and already gives you the idea that at least one member of Skull Squadron is not coming back (I'm guessing either Ozma or Klan).

As for Hokuto No Ken...

Toi Densetsu retells the Toki/Raoh fight and I already like the art style in this more than the art style in the Raoh Gaiden movies. Giving a better backstory for Toki and actually giving him a romantic interest really make the character even cooler than he already was, I mean he was already  kung-fu Jesus and they go ahead and make him cooler.

Now Yuria Densetsu, that fills plenty of gaps because really just what was Yuria doing for the 90+ episodes after she supposedly died? Its one of those things that needed answering. The fact that she met Rei under her guise as the Nanto General adds even more depth to how tragic Rei's death was. Of course the biggest heartbreaker is when Toki reveals to Yuria that he was in love with her but of course she is in disguise as the Nanto General so his confession hits her like a fist but he can't let him know who she is.

Of course the real tragedy of Hokuto No Ken is Yuria's eventua fate.There are no happy endings in Hokuto No Ken. Kenshiro really is the Elric of anime.

Fist of the North Star (Hukuto No Ken) never interested me. I just couldn't follow it. Yet the recent adaptation of it going by First of the Blue Sky, has got me interested, lol. If you have'nt already, check out Souten no Ken

I have indeed watched Souten No Ken since it is the story of Ryuken's brother (who many suspect is Koryu from Houkto No Ken). It does lack some of the more tragic elements of Hokuto No Ken (such as the eternalquestion of "How do I kill my brother?") but I still like it... just not as much. I am looking forward to the new Houkto No Ken tV series this fall as it will be all about Raoh and hopefully Reina.

Yet another series for the fall line-up I'll be watching.

Has anyoen checked out Kurenai? I've heard good things about but haven't seen it yet

Read about it, but I didn't find it particularly interesting.

Don't dislike Hokuto no Ken, but I have never had enough interest to follow into more of the series. I only watched one of the old movies released over here, the shitty live action movie with Vader, and the ova released a few years ago.

People have this great misconception about HNK because of th Streamline dub of the movie. There is a very deep story to the whole series as it actually is a retelling of "The Water Margin". Yes it is violent but it wouldn't have been one of Japan's most beloved for this long if it didn't have the story to back it up.

It, more than any other manga/show, is the blue print for modern Shonen storyteling.

Well one Piece came out today. :) Not much fighting... but the fighting there was makes me wonder just how pratical Brook is... his bones are chipping, easily lol.

Well episode 7 of Macross Frontier hit Veoh and for anyone wanting a big fight episode... well you get your wish as Frontier's main battleship Quarter and Skull squadron engage the Vajra and their giant battleship. Behold the awesomeness of the new Monster Battroid and also marvel at what the Quarter can do in battle. We also get the conclusion to Sheryl's concert, another Macross 7 reference and we get to see exactly what a new Armored Valkyrie can do on a destructive scale.

This is the episode that sets things in motion as a big plot point is hinted to be developed further.

Latest One Piece had to be one of the cheapest new episodes ever as it was most of ti was reference to an older episode.

Loved the fighting in the latest Macross Frontier as well.

I've been so into animes that have either a lot of action or magic or aliens or all three, it's refreshing to watch a "slice of life" show, just to take a breather, and one I enjoy is "Hidamari Sketch".  I've just started watching this on Veoh, and it's just funny.  Matter of fact, a 2nd season of that is starting in July, called "Hidamari Sketch X 365", so looking forward to that.  I have to admit, after years of shojo and mecha and everything in between, it's good to watch a show about "nothing" for a change ;)

I'm finally catching up on Cutie Honey THE LIVE and man is it gloriously goofy in its camp. As to Rebuild of EVA... havern't seen it, don't want to see it. EVA remains the one thing by Gainax I completely despise.

Still debating wheter to give Kurenai a try.. .anyone watch it yet?
