You know.  I've been bored at 9 on evenings lately.  And they have Naruto on then.  So I finally started watching it.

And it's really not all that bad.

Yeah, despite what a lot of otaku snobs would have you believe, Naruto isn't the worst thing to ever happen to anime.

OH! OH! OH! OH!!!  *whee

just got the fall RightStuf! catalog and am really excited...so much anime, so much manga, so much stuf!

But not enough money... *gloom

I do plan on plunking down the $143 for the entire 3rd season of Saiyuki and maybe the $45 bucks for the entire run of Shadow Skill...but as far as catalogs go, this one has been the best as far as depth goes...the only thing it's lacking really is any of the Battle Angel Alita manga series  *fu but it does have FLCL plushie toys!  *approve

Yeah...

I'm totally not involved enough with anime to buy anything anymore.

I have my Xena, and it's the gift that keeps on giving.

SF II V series is great. :) I love the new take on the SF saga.
SF II the movie is also good, but I recomend checking out the other SF movie, Generations or Alpha :)

Yeah, I only got to see the pilot when it ran on one of the movie channels over at a bloke's house a few years back and it seemed pretty awesome, I wanted to see more of it for sure, for sure, so when I saw it in the catalog, I was excited, and then I saw the Saiyuki there and was instantly conflicted.  What with the Saiyuki set being more expensive and all, but I think I can swing it, I've got a couple of side projects coming up for an uncle that pays well, so I might be able to swing getting them both...oh, and I fixed that botch for you ^_-

So I've been checking out Reideen the last few days. Find it interesting and will likely keep watching though I dislike the somewhat slow battles.

I bought Tales of Earthsea 3 weeks ago, and I haven't watched it yet.
I told Ing that I won't watch it until she can come over, so I can watch it with her.

My dear sir, they are far from just 'slow', lol. But... you get used to it, lol. Given what you would expect with some behemonths fighting, I think it's pretty accurate.

But the detail in all the art work and designs... that is incredible.

Yeah I was going to say after watching another episode the battles aren't so slow, but they are still lacking a little for me.

Yep lol.
And it gets better as the show progresses, lol. They just spend a  HELL of a long time with weapon action lol.

Is it like how Turn A Gundam spent forever getting to where they finally start finding the ancient weapons that kick crazy mad ass and it's not until just past 1/2 through the series that it starts getting really good because of the lack of fighting/good action?

Yes and no.
First half of the series is about the aliens attacking and Reideen defending. In the second half we get to see Reideen fight another Reideen, and also monsters that are much more tough to defeat.

New anime series that started recently called 'Dragonaut: Resonance'. Being subbed by Shinsen Subs, http://www.shinsen-subs.org/. Very nice graphics and the story isn't shaping up that baddly either.

Might check that out. Not sure though.

Just watched he first episode of Gundam 00. Seems like it could be interesting. Glad they decided not to rehash mobile suit designs for non-Gundams like they have in the past.

About to start Turn A Gundam and the first episode of Blue Dragon.

The subs for the Turn A on Megavideo are WAAAAY better than the ones I had...plus, since I only have the first dozen on CD (well, I had almost the whole run, but vindictive ex took all but the first dozen, so those 12 are the only ones I watched a couple of times over) in that super craptacular fansubbing, this has almost been like a brand new thing to watch...and I skipped the first 11, so I'm already to some of the better parts!

This Dragonaut thing might be worth looking into once I get deeper along into Turn A Gundam.

I wasn't hot on the Gundam 00...I dunno, it just didn't rock my socks like some of the other Gundam series did...

Its only the first episode. Will probably get better as it goes along. Most of the Gundam series don't really start off too great, especially since there a decent amount who rehash the whole colony attack to steal Gundams for the first episode.

Been digging Turn A Gundam even though they haven't gotten into the big shit yet (up to 18  or 19). Doesn't move as slow as I thought it might with the impressions people were giving.

Saw the first two episodes of Blue Dragon. OK, but I don't know if I will follow it though.

So does anyone know if Geneon is fully dead now? If so I figure I will continue Shonen Onmyouji and Higurashi No Naku Koroni.
