Lin's grabbing Kana's tits in the opening shot......I'm not saying it was fetish or not as none of us has seen the actual match, but it's not at all unreasonable to come to that conclusion.

SMASH is great for people put off by women being presented as competent athletes.

It is a "comedy" match in the same sense Kana vs Funaki was a comedy match that practically dismissed Kana as a serious competitor through the way the whole thing was booked? If this were happening in the WWE you'd be able to call a spade a spade, Hyperion. BUT because it's in Japanese with your favorite Japanese Diva you're burying your head in the sand. Terrific. Enjoy but be aware it's fanservice and sex.

The reason it is not "fetish wrestling" is because probably 10% of SMASH fans present were there to even see the women's match. From what I can tell the rest of the show was pro wrestling.

This is just WWE/ECW/Attitude style story line, which is what Tajiri wants to do with SMASH.

Mickie James licked her V spread fingers after grabbing Trish Stratus' crotch in a WRESTLEMANIA match, doesn't make it fetish wrestling.

Agree with luckycleareyes...however, I would prefer that pro wrestling be about pro wrestling & not bring "fetish wrestling" into it, though I do understand why they do it.

Kana & Lin "Bitch" Bairon are capable IMO of putting together a solid WRESTLING match...without any of the breast-grabbing stuff!

TBH, I was just going off of reports and pictures when I made my former statement.  Upon seeing more pictures of the match, I will retract that statement until I can see the match in it's entirety and reserve any judgements about the match until then.

Thinking about it a little, I'm pretty sure Kana would just be bored in the 'E.  She wouldn't get to wrestle like she likes (maybe she'd be one part in a ten-woman tag that she doesn't actually get to be in and wouldn't even have to bother taking off her awesome robe) and there's just not that much for her.  That said, yes, I would fantasy book her and Nattie and Beth all day long.   

Just bring her to SHIMMER.  Maybe the Shirais, too, everything permitting.  That will be fine.
