Frankie P. had similar footage on his YT account, so I've seen it before. Cool beans, though.

Like kapeng i think hiroyo is a good wrestler, but i think that her team with kyoko inoue was weird.
I mean i find that they have nothing in common,in their look,age.... .Normally,a team should share something in common.
Hiroyo was the student of inoue or what?.

it's NEO. they're booking is like Russo-lite. it's like the occasional thing of pairing tag teams just for the sake of pairing them off

They're both goofy big girl faces. And because of Hiroyo's size all the companies want to push her with their top workers as tag teams, like Hiroyo and Aja & Hiroyo and KYoko. Only JWP hasn't used her like that, and that's more because they don't like pushing outside workers that often.

Command Bolshoi, the founder/head of JWP, supposedly is very protective of how her talent is handled, which probably explains it. But that's not always true-the JWP Jr. Champion & POP Champion, Misaki Ohata, is actually part of IBUKI even though she maintains a typical independent/freelancer schedule and works almost everywhere.

Praying for Japan and all affected by the 3/11/11 earthquake and tsunami.

Also, I think some promoters have taken Mariko at her word when she says that Hiroyo is the real deal...plus she's had some damn fine matches against established vets.  JWP is just really cliqueish (Ohata only got the Jr twin titles after Bolshoi was pressured to have Arisa drop it b/c she wasn't gonna be a junior anymore and they didn't have anyone credible to transfer it over to)  yet another reason why it's my least favorite fed in all of joshi

JWP might be clickish, but they still put on the best quality shows.  But I am glad we have alternatives like NEO that bring in more Freelancers, and get more airtime so we can get more joshi per year(until one of use with super expendable income moves to japan and buys tons of JWP house shows.)

This was just posted a few hours ago on the SHIMMER boards (by the Shimmer office):

"Hiroyo said she's down for working Vol. 30 on Saturday night. She was initially only scheduled to appear on our Sunday tapings due to leaving Japan one day later than the others as a result of competing in the Sendai Girls tournament on 4/9. She will be landing in Chicago during the first half of Saturday's show, heading straight to the venue, and wrestling despite the jetlag. Gotta give her credit! "

Now does that sound like Superwoman or what??? Just awesome... *approve

If she can perform at a high level with all that jetlag (she's more than capable of such, of course), may God bless her heart. That is something a "supergirl" would do.

Yeah it's going to be tough.

She's going to travel from Sendai to Narita (probably via Shinkansen but maybe by plane since it's 200 miles away from Tokyo), then fly 11 hours straight to Chicago. Then drive 30 minutes to the venue, and then wrestle...

It does depend on whether she can sleep successfully on an airplane. Wrestler's usually are very good at sleeping anywhere...

That's a valid point. A good nap for a few hours during a flight never hurt anybody.

As much as I love the Kurihara, I wish it were Hiroyo who challenged for the Shimmer strap..

She'd be a fun defense for sure, but I'd rather Kurihara do it, as she's IMO the best of the 4. I would like to see Ohata vs Madison since Madison has such an amazing technical repertoire.

Besides, Hiroyo has enough belts. She was triple crown TWICE in 09 for cry-yai.

*pwease this tugged my heartstrings ...

uh ... i think that's a little too much to ask. she had almost all of the titles in contemporary joshi. but if matsumoto wins the SHIMMER strap, not that way
