Awesome, could I put that as my avi?

It's almost painful to watch how green manami toyota still was in 1990.

LOL!

The new breed are still green, but most of them are only in their 2nd/3rd year of wrestling - same as Toyota was here. Tamura was very green when I firstsaw her as a rookie. Just have some patience with the girls and theyll awe you with flying colors. If you refuse, than you just a haterr!!

Yeah, but shu's a lot better than manami toyota was in that vid. I dunno was manami toyota not very athletic when she started out? Though to be fair she didn't have manami toyota or akira hokuto to model herself after.  *hee

According to the wrestling observer, toyota's 5 star matches are

Dynamite Kansai & Mayumi Ozaki vs. Manami Toyota & Toshiyo Yamada(Dream Rush)
Manami Toyota & Toshiyo Yamada vs. Dynamite Kansai & Mayumi Ozaki(Dreamslam II)
Manami Toyota vs. Kyoko Inoue(60 minute time limit)
Aja Kong vs. Manami Toyota(Big Egg Universe)
Manami Toyota vs. Toshiyo Yamada(Hair vs Hair)

But it's really only a matter of opinion. I'd add some more matches, definitely the ones you said, and some more. I love just about any match toyota's in. I haven't seen her in a bad match after 1991. I really wanna see that mima shimoda match.

everyone is so concerned about the 5star-ratings
how does the WO rate a match if it's 5stars or below?

It takes into account the amount of action, as opposed to restholds ("workrate"); the difficulty and variety of moves used; the history of the workers and their feud; the development of an in-match storyline based on the wrestling moves and how they affect the wrestlers; and the overall reaction of the crowd.

Man I can just imagine that shimoda/toyota match. It sounds likes Jungle Jack vs Nakano/Iwamota on crack. *acts like Sakaki when she thinks about cats.* I wish there was someone who could make me a dvd of all Toyota's greatest matches. I also want to see Bison Kimura vs Manami Toyota, because I think bison's very underrated and definitely added a great touch of psychology with those screams of a woman being raped.

They give it less than 5?

I use WO ratings as a guide. Think of them being the most excellent of the excellent...........

Except Misawa/Kawada from 94. Meltzer should be horsewhipped for that one..............

Subjectively.

And "workrate" is an undefined smark term that is equally subjective.

People should like what they like, regardless of what Meltzer or any critic says. If you enjoyed a match, that's all that mattered... even if it got panned with a 1/2* rating.

And "workrate" is an undefined smark term that is equally subjective.

Not to quibble, but the term workrate was co-opted by smarks to make themselves seem more "smart"...it actually comes from the boys in the back who wanted to seperate themselves from the "less-is-more" old style psychology by saying that they have a "high workrate" style.

But leave it to smarks to....you know what, I'm not even going to finish that staement because this is a thread to praise Toyota and not piss on the worthless
Shupercousin KAKKOI!
