Somehwere in my mountan of tapes I have the 2 Yabushita/Momoe Vale Tudo matches. This was what sold me on Momoe actually.

How come nobody posted here, only Muta and one post by J.H.? I like her matches with Commando Bolshoi. Who is she? Did she start in JWP? When did she start and then where did she go? Is she freelance now???

Yabushita was one of 2 Judoka recruited by Jaguar Yokota for Jd. She and Sumie Sakai had a shortlived tag unit (YABUSAKA) and they were pretty nifty due to their extensive Judo backgrounds. For the last few years she has been doing MMA, even being in the middle of controversy during a fight with Erin Toughill.

She has been doing pro-wrestling alot more these last 12 months, mostly working for JWP. I hope she getsa bigger push there because I wouldn't mind seeing her face Hyuga or Haruyama for he JWP Openweight. Her respect feud with Bolshoi has been aces.

I believe Yabushita is like 37 or 38 years old. However, she keeps herslef in exceptional shape. She is one of the most skilled wrestlers ever. Her submission style blended with some pro wrestling manuevers makes her fun to watch. I liked her match against Maekawa that is on YouTube. Like her friend Sumie, the issue is how pro wrestling's tradition and templated build-ups discriminates against those who can actually win competitive matches.

Megumi Yabushita just celebrated her 15th year anniversary in pro-wrestling (she debuted in 1997). She had what looked like a self-produced show, that featured some judo exhibitions, and the main featured Megumi Yabushita & Kayoko Haruyama vs. Commando Bolshoi & Sachie Abe. Yabushita won over Abe with what looks like some kind of backdrop suplex hold.
