JWP now has announced 3 matches for the December 9th show "CLIMAX 2007" at Korakuen Hall.  We get a debut and two title matches.

JWP "JWP CLIMAX 2007" December 9, 2007
Korakuen Hall

1. Debut Match: Mayuka Shinzeki vs Arisa Nakajima
2. JWP Junior/POP Titles: Tyrannosaurus Okuda (c) vs Asuka Ohki
3. JWP Openweight Title: Azumi Hyuga (c) vs Kaori Yoneyama

I'm a little surprised they decided to debut Shinzeki here rather than at Junior All-Stars, but she's had a few exhibitions at dojo shows and I guess they think she's ready.  At least my good friend Arisa Nakajima will get to taste victory again.  *haha

If JWP is using Okuda as a transitional champion to move the junior title from Nakajima to Okhi, I'll be very very pissed off  *livid    Hopefully the fact that this would make no sense will keep the title on Okuda for the time being.  At least it makes more sense why they didn't bring Ohki to the last Sendai show, since it would be hard to have her be the next challenger if she had jobbed to a Sendai girl again (Ohki already got pwned by Miz).  Also, the Junior All-Stars main event would be ruined if Okuda loses now to someone not even in that main event and who generally jobs to even other juniors.

I think I talked about the Hyuga/Yoneyama title match earlier.  Yoneyama got a pinfall over Hyuga in a tag match about a week ago, but I don't believe a title change is in store here.  I think that this was Plan B for the final defense of 2007 after the intended big title defense in Sendai against Satomura got scrapped.

I also believe Hyuga will retain the belt as the year draws to a close, though it is a bit disappointing we are not going to see Hyuga/Satomura fued for the time being until Satomura is 100% again.

Considering Ayako beat Satomura in the Senjo WAR Tourney, shouldn't we be seeing a Ayako vs. Azumi match soon?

Did they wrestle yet this year?

You know something, Lucky? That's a thought to consider. The two haven't faced each other this year, so have a Hyuga/Ayako match wouldn't be anything short of impossible (because it is possible). If not this year, then perhaps the start of 2008 the match may take place.

 *pwease  Oh, the possibilities...

A few more matches added to the December 9th Korakuen show.  All 3 JWP titles will be defended.  I think we might still have one more match to be announced, as Bolshoi and Leon aren't on the card yet.

JWP "JWP CLIMAX 2007" December 9, 2007
Korakuen Hall

(unsure of order)

1. Debut Match: Mayuka Shinzeki vs Arisa Nakajima
2. JWP Junior/POP Titles: Tyrannosaurus Okuda (c) vs Asuka Ohki
3. Tag Team Festival: WANTED!? (Sachie Abe & KAZUKI) & Mint Showers (Manami Toyota & Etsuko Mita) vs Uematsu Ran (Toshie Uematsu & Ran Yu-Yu) & DA! (Keito & Carlos Amano)
4. JWP Tag Team Title: Tsubasa Kuragaki & Kayoko Haruyama (c) vs SUN All-Star Team
5. JWP Openweight Title: Azumi Hyuga (c) vs Kaori Yoneyama

I didn't realize Keito and Amano had worked together enough to have a team name. I wonder who will be on the SUN All-Star Team?  I'm pretty sure Nanae will be one.

Nanae and Hikaru if they are calling it an All=Star team. That or Nanae/Natsuki. I'm fine with either as long as they win.

2. when did it start operations?
3. does it have a stable roster?

Originally it was started in August 1986, by Jackie Sato and Nancy Kumi.

3. does it have a stable roster?
Yes, their roster is 12 strong, not including longtime ref Tessy Sugo.  They also have an agreement with NEO, and a lot of both rosters go back and forth.

Apparently SUN invaded the 11.25 show. And challenged JWP to a tag match, but came ready to fight dressed in their gear. The challenge was for the JWP Tag titles held by Tsubasa Kuragaki & Kayoko Haruyama on the 12/9 JWP CLIMAX 2007 show.

And of course Arisa jumped in the ring and started to fight again with Natsuki...

As I thought, one more match has been added: Command Bolshoi vs Tojuki Leon.  It will go between the tag team festival and the tag title match; otherwise, I had the order right.

So the All-Star team is definitely *Taiyo and Nanae? Or was the "invasion" by all of SUN? Lucky, the photos aren't showing up for me. Thanks.

Must be the blogs settings....

http://blog-imgs-16.fc2.com/t/o/t/totsuyoulei/009.jpg

That didn't work for me, the only luck I had was to go to the main blog page http://totsuyoulei.blog38.fc2.com/.

Nice find, BTW!  I never saw this one before.  There are a lot of photos and show reports, mostly JWP or involving JWP wrestlers.

and Mint Shower?  really?  Manami and Mita are MINT effin' SHOWER???  that's a WTF? if I've ever seen one.

I found a golf ball in the woods with JWP on it.

I have no idea who owned it. I don't think it was actually founded by Jackie Sato, Shinobu Kandori, Rumi Kazama and Nancy Kumi. There was some sort of backer behind it, and I know a public management company was involved, who'd been working on a popular idol show around that time. Sato only wrestled there for about a year. She quit in '87 after the "shoot" incident with Kandori. Anyway, there were a bunch of management problems & some shit involving Onita and Gran Hamada (the trainers), which led to Kazama being fired and that was the reason Kandori left and formed LLPW. The roster split in two and JWP continued as JWP-Project with different management. It was a great little promotion until 1997 when a bunch of awful things happened (Plum Mariko died, Yagi retired and Kansai's illness began.)

I must say I love JWP's clusterfuck tag matches. The ultimate example of course being Thunder Queens, but in general I love their 8 - 10 women tag matches:)
