I gotta say, it seems like JWP is putting on the best matches right now.

I watched the 12/9 match too. It was pretty average, but props to Bolshi for keeping my favourite promotion going. Who would've thought that Bolshi was the most dedicated Pure Heart Pro-Wrestling, JWP worker...

so in other words, bolshoi's award is more like "this is a special recognition for everything you have done for us for 2007"

The lungblower is such a pathetic move. It is so incredibly overused by everyone. It's like the early 2000's, when every American indy wrestler would use the Shining Wizard.

Poor Jimmy Jacobs.

I read a e-mail from Frankie P. regarding the results of the Junior All-Star Show. He stated that the main event match was billed as Arisa's intention to gain a slight measure of revenge against Okuda for winning the POP/JWP Jr. Title belts. He also stated that the show would've been a bit better if there was a title match at the works.

Arisa was way over with the crowd at this show. Before the match two guys were in the ring with flowers, when they gave them the okay to give them to who they wanted both guys gave them to Arisa. The crowd laughed out loud at that, but she even got name chants. I didnt realize she was so over. She seemed genuinely surprised about the MVP thing too.

She also was very cool for signing after, but has absolutely horrendous acne.

It must be a matter of age; she's only 18, right?

She gets a lot of streamers before some of her matches and she's getting good in the ring now.  From what i've seen about a year ago she could get a little lost sometimes but she's been pretty smooth and sometimes commanding in the stuff i've seen recently.
The acne might be partly because of all that makeup she wears!

JWP had their first show of 2008 at Itabashi Green Hall.  Nothing too remarkable in the results.  I'm bleh about Yoneyama jobbing to Keito.  Too bad Arisa had to eat a lariat-o!  *haha

Results from http://totsuyoulei.blog38.fc2.com/blog-entry-566.html.  There are photos there as well.

Yoneyama's loss really sucks, for she has just proved she has the talent and personality to be a champion. Of the JWP workers she is one of those more deserving of a big push, IMO.

3matches in one night with 2 of the matches as 6man tag matches, JWP should have done something better than this
is their time too limited to book singles matches?

It was just a "dojo" show, so it's just a reduced card of exhibition matches held at JWP's training gym rather than a regular venue. JWP is famous for running lots of silly gimmicks at these shows (Christmas tree match, matches where the wrestlers have to eat a certain kind of food if they get knocked out of the ring, swimming pool matches, etc.)

I'm pretty sure that these dojo shows are less expensive to go to than regular shows.  I think the only people that go to these shows are the most hardcore fans and people on a budget.

NEO has dojo shows as well, but unlike JWP they don't post the cards or results on their website, so we never find out what happened unless some blogger went to the show.

Yes they do that. They have a pic of the whole roster in an inflatable swimming pool.

At least its not gravy.
