Latest news stolen from Josh on the old forum...

Several developments for JWP.  First, they will be traveling to Sendai to take on Senjo on Friday, October 5.  I've posted the card in the Sendai thread.

According to Lady's Ring and Joshipuro.com, JWP's 2 trainees have passed their audition and will be debuting later this year, probably at December's Jr. All Star show.  The first one is named either Mayuka Niizeki or Mayuka Shinzaki.  She's from the Ota ward of Tokyo and is only 15 (born 1/16/92).  Mayuka is 158 cm and 58 kg and her "target wrestler" is Kayoko Haruyama.

The other trainee is named YUKI.  She wears a mask and her real name, hometown, and age were not given.  She's pretty small (154cm and 53 kg) and her "target wrestler" is Tojuki Leon.

Also from Lady's Ring is the card for the JWP show on 10/14.

JWP "FLASHPOINT" October 14, 2007 (evening)

2. Aska Ohki/Arisa Nakajima vs Misaki Ohata/Hiroyo Matsumoto
3. Keito vs Ran Yu-Yu

From Lady's Ring mobile, we have the full card for JWP's next show, a press conference, and some more details about the New Year's Eve Jr. All Stars show that JWP will be hosting.  It seems most of the JWP women are wearing green t-shirts these days.

First, the full card for this weekend.

JWP October 21, 2007 "LINE OF HEAT" (evening)
Shinjuku FACE

1. Aska Ohki vs Aya Yuki
2. JWP Junior/POP Championship: Arisa Nakajima (c) vs Misaki Ohata
3. WANTED!? versus Uematsu Last Battle: Sachie Abe/KAZUKI/Carlos Amano vs Toshie Uematsu/Ran Yu-Yu/Chikayo Nagashima
4. Final Egotist at JWP: Michiko Ohmukai/Command Bolshoi vs Azumi Hyuga/Keito
5. Kaori Yoneyama vs Tojuki Leon
6. JWP Tag Team Chapionship: Tsubasa Kuragaki/Kayoko Haruyama vs Manami Toyota/Etsuko Mita

I'm not going to try to transcibe the comments, as I don't think Nifty does it justice, but it seems like Uematsu in particular was rocking the mike.

This photo is of the participants in the Jr. All Stars main event.  It's a 6 woman match called "BEST OF JUNIOR" and I guess the theme is that different promotions sent their best rookie.  No details of what kind of match, teams, etc. were given.  If you don't recognize them, we have lumberjill Aoi Kizuki (Ice Ribbon), Aya Yuki (NEO), junior champ Arisa Nakajima (JWP), Hiroyo Matsumoto (S-Ovation/Ibuki), Tyrannosaurus Okuda (Sendai Girls), and Hanako Kobayashi (Ito Dojo).

Okay.  Aoi looks like she stepped out of a cluster of western Kentucky mountains on a moonshine run.

So everybody's top jr. in the main event.

Aside from Mai and Sato for Ito Dojo, who considering they won last years main will probably get a semi-main tag match.

29 girls?

I guess there will be 3 6-man tags.

Well, they had 12(!) matches last year, so even if they cut that down to say 8, they will get a lot of girls in.  I still liked my fantasy booking where Okuda takes the junior titles away from Nakajima, but it's pretty much law that anything I ever mention in a fantasy booking setting never ever happens in reality.

Bad news from JWP-I got this from Frank Pozen who caught this on Command Bolshoi's blog.  The young masked trainee YUKI has been forced to retire before she could even debut.  She collapsed in practice last week and it was found that she had a weak blood vessel in her brain that caused a hemorrhage.  YUKI spent a few days in the hospital-she's out now but the doctors told her that she can't participate in contact sports, as the danger is too great.  It's sad that she got her dream taken away before her career could even start, but obviously it could have been much worse.

It's probably a good thing it happened in training and not in a match situation where she might have felt the need to carry on (if she was even able to) or it might not have been noticed quickly.  Poor girl, I hope she finds a good place in the world.

JWP Results/Discussion

We had two successful title defenses and more happiness for Toshie fans.   *whee

BTW, I got both the OZ and JWP results from this blog http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/oz-academy and I'm not 100% sure about some of the translations on the finishers.

JWP October 21, 2007 "LINE OF HEAT" (evening)
Shinjuku FACE

1. Aya Yuki defeated Aska Ohki (9:53) with the Divine Wind.
2. JWP Junior/POP Championship: Arisa Nakajima (c) defeated Misaki Ohata (10:31) with the Cutie Special.  4th defense of JWP Jr. Title & 2nd defense of POP Title.
3. WANTED!? versus Team Uematsu Last Battle: Toshie Uematsu/Ran Yu-Yu/Chikayo Nagashima defeated Sachie Abe/KAZUKI/Carlos Amano (18:13) when Uematsu pinned KAZUKI after an accidental Carlos Ghosn.
4. Final Egotist at JWP: Michiko Ohmukai/Command Bolshoi defeated Azumi Hyuga/Keito (13:26) when Ohmukai used the Flash-of-Light Magic on Keito.
5. Kaori Yoneyama defeated Tojuki Leon (14:03) with the U.S.-ZOU.
6. JWP Tag Team Chapionship: Tsubasa Kuragaki/Kayoko Haruyama defeated Manami Toyota/Etsuko Mita (22:15) when Kuragaki used a Lariat on Toyota. 1st defense.

I'm not surprised at all that Arisa retained against Misaki.  I'm still hoping she drops these titles to Sendai's Tyrannosaurus Okuda.

Another good day for Toshie and Ran.  I can't think WANTED!? are happy that they lost because of a screw-up by Amano.  I really don't believe these teams will never meet again.

Michiko gets to win her last match in JWP on the retirement road.  I'd rather have seen Leon win than Yoneyama, but no biggie.  The big result is not just Tsubasa and Kayoko retaining-I expected that since there was no reason to drop the belts to Manami and Etsuko-but that Tsubasa did want she wanted and finally got the big pinfall on Toyota.

JWP just has a small dojo show next weekend.  The trainee Mayuka Shinzeki will have a 5 minute exhibition before her formal debut at Junior All Stars.  Sadly (as I mentioned in the JWP thread), the other trainee, YUKI (the masked girl) will not be able to debut.  She collapsed in training and was in hospital for a few days, where a weakened blood vessel was discovered in her brain, and the doctors have ruled out contact sports.  It's a shame, but at least it didn't turn into a horrible tragedy.

Why does the last photo look like it should be from the Ohka v. Mio match from the most recent WAVE show?

Couple of Ohmukai notes from this, her final JWP appearance.

After the match, Boshoi gave her a bouquet of flowers.

And she spoke on the microphone, causing everybody to get a little emotional.

Even the EGOIST herself had to pause and recover.

She managed to get it back together, and spoke directly to Tojuki LEON, saying she still carries the flag and represents M's Style in JWP.

"And Retirement Road Continues..."

Akatsuka Public Hall

1. Tojuki Leon vs Cherry
2. Kayoko Haruyama/Asuka Ohki vs Keito/Arisa Nakajima
3. Sachie Abe vs Manami Toyota
4. KAZUKI vs Ran Yu-Yu

I went to a JD Star show in november 2006. There was a tag match with a wrestler in a red mask, who I THINK  was announced as a JWP wrestler. Anyway, she brought this huge bottle to the ring. During the match the bottle went flying out of the ring  and smacked me in the chest...I laughed along with the crowd but it bloody hurt!

Anyone know who the wrestler was?

If it was a short wrestler, then it sounds like the "Sarubobo" gimmick that I believe was played by Kaori Yoneyama.
