^ Syuri was tagging with Shida and Kaho there.

The awards voted on by fans were announced on the show.

- Happening & Impact Award: Carlos Amano’s sudden retirement announcement
- Best Bout Category: AKINO (c) vs Tsubasa Kuragaki (10/13)
- Best Wizard: Kyusei・Sakura Hirota

AKINO vs Kuragaki was one of my favorite matches from any company last year, so I'm happy to see it get some love.  In his blog, Nakamura (the ring announcer) wrote that Kuragaki/Kagetsu is an early best bout candidate for this year, and he rarely says anything like that.  So, I'm definitely looking forward to that one.

The Kagetsu-Kaho tag team is part of a new faction in OZ Academy that also includes AKINO & Sonoko Kato.  They beat Ozaki & Hirota to win the titles, with Kagetsu using a Yoshi Tonic on Hirota.

I really don't see the point of putting the title back on AKINO.

The next OZ Openweight Champion will be decided in a six-man elimination tag team match between Sonoko Kato, Tsubasa Kuragaki & AKINO vs. Hikaru Shida, Hiroyo Matsumoto & Arisa Nakajima at the 8/23 show.

Not sure how this works exactly, but it sounds interesting.

Kaho Kobayashi/Kagetsu are 2x Tag Champions and Sonoko Kato is the new Openweight Champion.

The elimination tag lasted almost an hour (54 mins!) and came down to Kato/Matsumoto.

Sonoko Kato retained against Arisa Nakajima despite a slow count from Mio.

After the match, Ozaki asked Tsukasa Fujimoto to join 'Ozaki-gun' and Tsukasa replied that she would think about it.

This is the best picture I could find of Nakajima's new gear.

Aoi Kizuki went through the usual Ozaki brutalization in her debut. Although she didn't bleed.
