I always thought she looked pretty when she was younger and it's sad to think she was bullied! Didn't she look so cute with that fro in her debut match?? lol

Yeah, I saw that! She would have been so cool looking if she'd stayed at that weight and had a blonde fro hawk. It makes sense that she was bullied, being mixed race in a homogeneous country. Even worse that it was something other than white (not that it makes any differece but I'm sure it didn't help) during a time of military occupation. Society is like that and it's tragic that she (and Bull) were told they'd never be the heroes, so gain lots of weight to be a better heel. At least in American wrestlers have more control over their destiny.

What's that from? Who's the guy in the background? Is that a church lady hat? Is that really Aja? She looks like a relative of mine.

FINALLY!

Oh, wow. She looks pretty.
I've always wanted to see her hair grown out a bit. Not straightened but just more coils.

She does look pretty I agree. Like if she dropped 50 lbs, she could be a MILF like Bull.

Something I finally was finally looking for. CCTV sat down with Aja Kong to talk to her about growing up in Japan being mixed race in English.

Here's the description from the video.

Quote
This episode of Assignment Asia brings you three stories about identity. First, the story of a musical duo of brothers whose parents come from very different backgrounds – the result of which is reflected in the diversity of their music. Then we meet a professional Japanese female wrestler known by many as ‘Aja Kong’. She tells us her story about growing up as a mixed-race child in Japan and transforming herself into a powerful role model.
