I wish it kept the pink/purple color scheme though since those are her colors after all. Although I guess if she's in Black Dahlia now she needs to wear black.

I'm kind of confused by Mr. Dasadasa's tweets about the rest, I assume Ryo Mizunami and Ayumi Kurihara would advance? Or will there be more matches? Someone clarify??

The clarification is that the Power and White Tails Blocks still have remaining matches.

In the Power Block, the current standings are: Ryo Mizunami 6, Ayako Hamada 5, Hamuko Hoshi 4, Sawako Shimono 3, Aya Yuki 0.  There is one remaining match, with Hoshi vs Shimono on July 1.  If Hoshi wins, there will be a tie for 1st that would need to be decided somehow.

Similarly, the White Tails Blocks sits like this: Ayumi Kurihara 5, Mio Shirai 4, Shuri 4, Kana 3, Shu Shibutani 2.  The one remaining match (also on July 1) is Mio vs Shu.  A draw would leave Mio & Ayumi tied for 1st and a Mio victory would give her the block.

The Black Dahlia Block is through, with Yumi Ohka & Tsukasa Fujimoto at 5 and needing a tiebreaker, Misaki Ohata & Cherry with 4, and Hanako Nakamori with 2.

I'm not 100% sure, but in the past WAVE has had a last chance battle royale to decide the 4th and final spot in the semifinals and I'd expect this to happen again.

2. Scramble WAVE: Moeka Haruhi, Yu Yamagata & Cherry beat Shu Shibutani, Miki Iida & Misaki Ohata (10:03) when Haruhi used the Princess Clutch on Shibutani.
3. Catch the WAVE - Power Block: Sawako Shimono [3] beat Aya Yuki [0] (7:50) with the Nandeyanen.
4. Catch the WAVE - White Tails Block: Ayumi Kurihara [5] drew Shuri [4] (15:00) when the time limit expired.
5. Catch the WAVE - White Tails Block: Mio Shirai [4] beat Kana [3] (5:27) with the Tsuchigumo.
6. Catch the WAVE - Black Dahlia Block: Yumi Ohka [5] drew Tsukasa Fujimoto [5] (15:00) when the time limit expired.
7. Catch the WAVE - Power Block: Ryo Mizunami [6] beat Ayako Hamada [5] (13:27) with an AP Cross cutback cradle.

Catch the WAVE League Standings:

Black Dahlia Block:
1. Yumi Ohka - 5pts
-. Tsukasa Fujimoto - 5pts
3. Misaki Ohata - 4pts
-. Cherry - 4pts
5. Hanako Nakamori - 2pts

Power Block:
1. Ryo Mizunami - 6pts
2. Ayako Hamada - 5pts
3. Hamuko Hoshi - 4pts
4. Sawako Shimono - 3pts
5. Aya Yuki - 0pts

White Tails Block:
1. Ayumi Kurihara - 5pts
2. Shuri - 4pts
-. Mio Shirai - 4pts
4. Kana - 3pts
5. Shu Shibutani - 2pts

After tonight, the Black Dahlia block is almost decided, as a tiebreaker match between Ohka and Fujimoto will determine who will be in the semi-finals at Korakuen, and who will have to fight for the 4th spot in a battle royale on the 7/1 card.  By beating Ayako Hamada, Ryo Mizunami wins the Power Block; Hoshi vs. Shimono will be a bit meaningless, as both have no chance of getting into the semi-finals outside of winning the battle royale.  Finally, if Mio Shirai wins on 7/1 over Shu Shibutani, Mio will go to the semi’s instead of Ayumi; a draw gets Mio in a tiebreaker match with Ayumi.  Everyone else is in a battle royale, which I would expect will be the main event of WAVE’s 7/1 card from 1st Ring.

Power Block:
1. Ryo Mizunami - 6pts
2. Ayako Hamada - 5pts
3. Hamuko Hoshi - 4pts
4. Sawako Shimono - 3pts
5. Aya Yuki - 0pts

By beating Ayako Hamada, Ryo Mizunami wins the Power Block; Hoshi vs. Shimono will be a bit meaningless, as both have no chance of getting into the semi-finals outside of winning the battle royale.

Theoretically, Hoshi would tie Miz with 6 points if she beats Sawako and then a tiebreaker would be needed.  However, I doubt they'd have Miz beat Ayako and then have her lose the block, so I'd expect Sawako to get the win over Hoshi.

Compared to their previous Korakuen shows it is. Although it's still better than what JWP and IR usually draw there.

The big stipulation for these shows was that whichever faction drew less would have to disband.  So, that means that Black Dahlia is no more.   Also, I read a few reports that said Ran/Iida was quite good.

5. GAMI & Ayumi Kurihara drew Yumi Ohka & Kana (30:00) when the time limit expired.

Teams in the main event were decided at the opening of the show, as it was a "random partner" match.  No surprise it went to a draw.

0. Exhibition Match: GAMI drew Kyoko Kimura (5:00) when the time limit expired.
1. Rival WAVE: Kana beat Shu Shibutani (8:06) with a chickenwing facelock.
2. GoGo WAVE: Gori Child beat Sakura Hirota (3:53) with a Diving Body Press.
3. Challenge WAVE: Ran YuYu beat Moeka Haruhi (10:28) with a Rolling Elbow.
4. Challenge WAVE: Aja Kong beat Ryo Mizunami (9:34) with a Diving Elbow Drop.
5. Virgin WAVE: GAMI & Tomoka Nakagawa drew Tsukasa Fujimoto & Hikaru Shida (20:00) when the time limit expired.
6. Premium "GIFT" WAVE: Ayako Hamada beat Ayumi Kurihara (16:06) with a spin kick.
7. Final Black WAVE: Misaki Ohata beat Yumi Ohka (22:24) via pinfall.
8. Survival WAVE (29 Woman Battle Royale): Misaki Ohata beat Atsuko Maeda (Sakura Hirota) (25:38) with the Hanamaru Dokkan.
Order of Elimination: Aya Yuki, Sawako Shimono, Sakura Hirota, Moeka Haruhi, Hamuko Hoshi, Yu Yamagata, Mio Shirai, Hikaru Shida, Shuri, Sachie Abe, KAZUKI, Cherry, Doton Bolshoi, Kyoko Kimura, Ran YuYu, Shu Shibutani, Aja Kong, Yumi Ohka, Ayumi Kurihara, Kana, Ayako Hamada, GAMI, Tomoka Nakagawa, Ryo Mizunami, Tsukasa Fujimoto, Ranmaru, Gori Child, Miki Iida, Atsuko Maeda (Sakura Hirota).

The "Gori Child" character is from WAVE's new sponsor, "GoGo Curry."  I'm assuming it was someone in a gorilla costume, as that's what the company logo is.  Sakura Hirota made fun of AKB48's Atsuko Maeda in the main event battle royale.

Before the battle royale, GAMI and Misaki Ohata announced that Ohata is now a member of the ZABUN roster, and then after the match, GAMI announced that KAGUYA will be in the Reina de Reinas tournament in AAA, though it's not Mio Shirai playing the character (it was her masked alter-ego).  Finally, WAVE returns to Korakuen Hall on November 27th (a Tuesday).

DUAL SHOCK WAVE 2012 Tag League
A Block:
GAMI & Tomoka Nakagawa (Hatanaka Yoko)
Misaki Ohata & Tsukasa Fujimoto
Ayako Hamada & Kana
Ranmaru & Apple Miyuki (Bonjo Venus)

Reserve: Yuu Yamagata & Maki Narumiya

Shuu Shibutani & Syuri
Yumi Ohka & Hikaru Shida
Moeka Haruhi & Makoto

Reserve: Sawako Shimono & Aya Yuuki

- Kurihara/Iida and Kana/Hamada got auto-entries because Kurihara and Kana are previous winners of the league.  Ranmaru/Apple and Haruhi/Makoto are "producer recommended" entries.
- If I understood correctly, a reserve team would be substituted in the event of an injury or illness, and inherit the points of the replaced team.
- They announced that Ryo Mizunami is going to Shimmer and Femme Fatales in October.  Hopefully, she guillotine drops the nerd-pandering girls on the Shimmer undercard back to where ever they came from.
