This is a Samurai show that features a different joshi star in studio along with a creepy puppet that is (I believe) voiced by long-time joshi analyst/journalist Hirotsugu Suyama.

The format is clips of recent matches from pretty much all joshi promotions, along with joshi matches from places like DDT, Zero1, Wrestle-1, etc.  The exception is no OZ Academy, presumably because they are still covered by GAORA.  Later there's a visit by a joshi wrestler to  Bull Nakano's bar, with an interview by Bull.  Suyama (in puppet form) will interview the in-studio joshi, they'll show more extended highlights of her matches, and hype upcoming matches.

Some recent episodes on are Youtube due to kingughidorah

#14: Guest Host-GAMI, Bull's Visitor-Meiko Satomura
http://youtu.be/GH-CRRTCQ4M

#15: Guest Host-Sareee (dressed as Mrs. Claus), Bull's Visitor-Emi Sakura & Sayaka Obihiro
http://youtu.be/xNisEMziNdk

#16: Guest Host-Kairi Hojo, Bull's Visitor-Tetsuya Koda, The guy who runs Tokyo Women's Pro and used to run NEO and then Ice Ribbon.
http://youtu.be/RjpYLfRnT5A

#17: Guest Host-Hikaru Shida, Bull's Visitor-Mio Shirai
http://youtu.be/dWnuWFWGxnw

There was an older episode that I saw at some point, hosted by Kana and I think Sakura Hirota was Bull's visitor, but I can't locate it.  If anyone finds it or any other episodes, please post the link!

EDIT: Found it.  This one's on Dailymotion rather than Youtube.
#5: Guest Host-Kana, Bull's Visitor-Sakura Hirota
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xy18ga_occupation-of-the-joshi-005_sport

Also at some point episodes #7 (w/Io Shirai, Yoshiko at Bull's) and #8 (w/Meiko Satomura, Yumi Ohka at Bull's) were on the net, but I haven't seen them and they don't seem to be freely available at the present.

I know you guys decided Kana wasn't a draw but somehow Kana Pro Mania's attendance was 1253 according to the write up in Weekly Pro. Decent amount of Joshi coverage this week with JWP, WAVE, the DDT women, and a column from Arisa.

It was said, and as silly as it was at the time even I'm being shocked at how wrong it was.

My understanding is that Triple Tail.S, Kana & Mio Shirai's collaboration, is dissolving and will have two final shows, with a main event announced for one of them.  Also, building on Kana's recent show she produced at Korakuen, she'll be teaming up with a mystery wrestler (probably someone good!) to face Meiko & Minoru Suzuki.

Triple Tail.S "Final Osaka" April 26, 2014
Higashinari Kumin Main Hall

1. Kana & Mio Shirai vs Command Bolshoi & Arisa Nakajima

Triple Tail.S "Final Tokyo" May 15, 2014
Shinjuku FACE

Kana Pro June 16, 2014
Korakuen Hall

1. Kana & X vs Meiko Satomura & Minoru Suzuki

I'm guessing Yuki Ishikawa for Kana's partner.

I think this prediction is a lot more likely than your Tomoka Nakagawa as 5-year OZ Academy champ prediction  *haha

Updated card for the Joshi 4 Hope show, from http://joshipro.blog.jp/, changed from the earlier card at http://ringbellesonline.com/2014/02/28/shimmer-tag-titles-on-the-line-at-joshi-4-hope-v/

Changes to card are due to the news that Manami Katsu injured her left ankle in practice and is out of this show.  Tsukushi is the replacement and faces Misaki Ohata.

Joshi 4 Hope V March 9, 2014
Shin-Kiba 1st Ring

1. Kagetsu vs Rina Yamashita
2. Leon vs Crazy Mary
3. Alpha Female vs Sakura Hirota
4. Hiroyo Matsumoto & Yuhi vs Natsuki*Taiyo & Yoshiko
5. Misaki Ohata vs Tsukushi
6. SHIMMER Tag Team Championship: Tomoka Nakagawa & Kelly Skater (c) vs Madison Eagles & Evie

This youtube channel has some pretty lengthy promotional videos for Chigusa's upcoming show: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCz99ozEH2vSKRzJO7xRig8A

Chigusa Nagayo Produce Event "That's Joshi Puroresu"
March 22, 2014 (17:00)
Ota City General Gymnasium

1. Chigusa Nagayo & Kagetsu & Takumi Iroha vs Dump Matsumoto & KAORU & Yoshiko
2. Kyusei Sakura Hirota vs Aiger
3. Misaki Ohata & Mio Shirai & Tsukasa Fujimoto vs Hiroyo Matsumoto & Sawako Shimono & Rina Yamashita
4. Kyoko Inoue & Sareee vs Yumiko Hotta & Mima Shimoda
5. DASH Chisako & Sendai Sachiko vs Natsuki☆Taiyo & Io Shirai
6. Shinobu Kandori & Meiko Satomura & Toshie Uematsu vs KAORU & Takaco Inoue & Ayako Hamada

This card's pretty interesting to me... KAORU's working double duty on her first show back from injury.  Chigusa and Toshie are back for one night.  I always enjoy a rare Kandori appearance even if she doesn't do much anymore.  They have most of the good twenty-somethings representing the younger generation; hopefully, they'll draw some interest from fans of the older wrestlers here.

General reaction after finding out that there are no Best Joshi Wrestler Award winners:

*omg *saywhat *tantrum *livid *gloom *stress *kori *give *fu

That is all I can say.

EDIT: Look, sorry for that, I mean if you are a die-hard joshi puroresu fan and hearing that, you are going to be upset. Well, at least Io has 6 votes and Shuri has 3 votes which is good especially Shuri finally getting some support. Also, the only joshi promotion that was covered by Samurai TV is Stardom, at least from what I have observed. How about the rest of the promotions? Are they releasing their shows on DVD? When I go to Purolove.com and see the Joshi show results, some of them had the "TV Show" indicator at the side of the show's name. Does that mean that they are still covered by Samurai TV or by other stations? Just being curious I guess.

I know it's not really a super serious or prestigious award but how hard would it be for the voters to just watch a couple matches of various joshi talent on youtube.? Lazy and honestly kind of misogynistic .

Korakuen Hall shows are usually seen somewhere. For other if it stand somewhere and so i write "TV Show" after it without knowing the exact channel of platform.

To Dingo: Thanks.  *approve

To Dexx: I agree that it's not a super important award but the Tokyo Sports wrestling award is the most mainstream of all the sport awards in Japan and a lot of people follow it. I also agree that people at Tokyo Sports should pay more attention to joshi wrestlers. I hope Samurai TV should once again cover most if not all joshi puroresu promotions, not just Stardom. If those said promotions do not have enough expenses for a Samurai TV coverage, give them a reasonable amount for them to do so.

I don't see why JWP and the other joshi promotions don't get TV time anymore but all of the ghost promotions with old veterans past their prime putting on sub-par matches do. It's just blatant sexism.

So, 368 Japanese fans with an internet presence (twitter, facebook, mixi, a blog, etc.) voted for the Net Pro Wrestling Awards for 2014, and I thought it was pretty cool to look at the results and look at how they compare to western puroresu fans' tastes.  Here's the link to the results, including all of the individual ballots, if you want to check it out: http://beye2.com/npwa/npwa2014_2.htm

I translated some of the stuff that's relevant to our interests for fun.  Here's the whole MVP list and joshi-related stuff for some of the other awards:

Why is  Takumi so far down on the rookie list? There aren't many (if any at all) women out there with less than 2  years of experience that had the quality year she had.

She  had a match for Stardom's top title, she main eventide  Stardom's final show of the year and performed at a high level while doing so.
