Universal Woman's Pro Wrestling REINA (UWWR)

They already have 25+ shows on their schedule. Looks like most will be in Tokyo at Shin Kiba 1st Ring, Shinjuku FACE and Edogawa Friend Hall. Outside touring includes Yokohama, Osaka & Nagoya.

They're advertising their Golden Week show on 5/8 as "REINA 1" and is in conjunction with CMLL. They're advertising Marcela, Amapola, Silueta, Zeuxis and Mima Shimoda.

Ayumi is also front-and-center on the poster.



The actual roster is:

Hailey Hatred.

Aky Kanbayashi will be the dojo coach.

President Riki Tamashiro who lived in Peru 10 years and is fluent in Spanish.

Here are their stated goals/strategy:

1) Alliance with CMLL. "Every 3 month, two CMLL women will come to Japan. April 20th Seuxis & Estrella Magica will arrive."

2) Within 2011, we will tour Asia

3) In September, we plan a big show in Tokyo, Yokohama and Osaka, inviting fighters from USA, Canada and Austria.

4) We are happy to sell our video content to everybody. Please contact us.

On their PROFILE page they claim their Capital is 30,000,000 JPY which is like $360,966 USD...

Hopefully CMLL keeps their end up with sending luchadoras every 3 months, with that kind of spacing I can't see there being a scheduling problem so if they pull workers, it'll just be them being dicks about it. 

Based on the layout, seems like they're counting Mima as a lucha with Ayumi being the bridge between Mexico and Japan.  5 on one side, 5 on the other, Ayumi in the middle...or maybe I'm looking for things that aren't there.

As for the event poster...who knows. Shimoda lives in Mexico but I think I remember hearing she was moving back to Japan full-time again. They seems to use people from all over: free, WAVE, LLPW, JWP, OZ...

Card is out for their debut show.  Frankly this looks a lot better to me than Diana.  Time to speculate on who X from SHIMMER will be.

3, 6 & 8 might be pretty decent to good and the rest doesn't look hoorrible but nothing on this show i'd go out of my way to watch or be excited for.

Of course it looks better than DIANA, it has names and a different approach (none of the freelancers that people like). No one gives a shit about anyone in Diana, except maybe Nozaki.But definitely not Yuki or Sato.

I'd really love Athena or Matthews because I think they could get the most out of training in Japan. Athena's sooo fucking athletic, so learning the Joshi style would come so naturally to her. And Nicole loves the Japanese style, so seeing her able to learn it first hand would be great as well.

As match that main event frightens me. I'm at least pleased to see someone young go over though I've never really been impressed by Sato or Yuki.

Without outsiders, who is going to keep losing to Yuki & Sato?

And to be honest, if I knew that main event was on 10 minutes I'd probably skip it...

I actually like Yuki and Sato, but they're uninteresting except when Yuki teams with Mizunami. Nozaki at least has an interesting character now. They brought in a JWP wrestler so bad that she hadn't won any title until 2 years ago as part of an angle with Hotta. Inoue and Ito have gotten too big to really work, though Inoue can still go when she wants to.

And the newer cards are actually interesting as people noted, now that they're bringing in more extra talent like Meiko and Oka and even Yoshida.

I'm pointing out WHY it's unnecessary to say "looks so much better than DIANA" (using the same criticisms leveled against DIANA) When the mission of DIANA's first card was completely different, what do people want?
Like that shit you said about "jagged words" when I was asking why everyone was hating so hard on DIANA before it even debuted awhile back. ...some people say things differently.

I hate hypocritical double talk. (and the fatalist attitude about anything not "in")

Jagged Words doesn't = Active Hostility to everyone around you just because they think differently than you. And you don't need to thinly veil your "active aggression" If someone said something that pissed you off, speak up to it. Using thinly veiled hostility is just ridiculous and annoying.

I think Annie Social (not featured on the poster) is included on the card as well. The weird thing is that Annie is more into brawling than mat wrestling. One would think they'd included someone like Athena to the mix.

This is getting worse and worse. I really was hoping that SHIMMER & S-OVATION were going to be able to provide the elite gaijin girls for Joshi 4 Hope and other bookings.

Now it's like random American girl A or B gets brought in. By the time the Japanese fans check these girls they'll go back to believing American girls can't hang with Japanese girls in the ring.

This is what Koda was saying when he called American girls "shoppai," and easily exposed when put in the ring with a Joshi wrestler. He said he was surprised when Ayumi & Hiroyo said SHIMMER had many good girls.

Damn shame.
