Also, by bringing in outsiders, you already know who's going to job!

A little girl who's just about to turn 14 shouldn't be beating anyone in her first match ever let alone Meiko Satomura.

Nagisa really shouldn't be beating Aja Kong either. Aja will atleast make her look good in defeat so she'll still get some rub.

Yoshida vs Keiko, really doesn't matter at all who wins this, wouldn't surprise me if Yoshida lays down though.

Sareee's actually turning 15, but there's no way in hell she beats Meiko.  Aja's not losing to Nagisa, either.  I agree that Yoshida might do the job.  I'm not sure if Yoshida is considered a freelancer or still S-Ovation, but remember she was a AJW '88 classmate of Kyoko's.

I think it's more that she's racist against freelancers than that she's only using her own roster.

From the Ringstars blog, Aja Kong vs Nagisa Nozaki is off the Diana debut card for 4/17.  It was said that Aja has a scheduling conflict-I checked and the only other joshi promotion running that day to my knowledge is JWP.  No word on Nagisa's new opponent.

Didn't she say no to "freelancers" not no to "outsiders"? Not all outsiders are freelancers, right?

Sari vs. ?
Sawako Shimotsuke vs. Cherry
Osaka Pro Offer Match: Kanjuro Matsuyama & Kuishinbo Kamen vs. Ebessan 3 & Takoyakida
Nagisa Nozaki vs. Yumi Ohka
3 Falls Match (1 hour time limit): Kyoko Inoue & Ayako Sato vs. Kaoru Ito & Aya Yuki

Praying for Japan and all affected by the 3/11/11 earthquake and tsunami.

The first match for that Osaka show is Keiko Aono (who used to be called Keito when she was in JWP) vs Sareee (with three Es).

I wonder if more Diana/Stardom interpromotional stuff is in the works.

I was about to call out Cherry being on the card, but remembered she's technically Union and not freelance.

It's not quite the same.  They rotate who has to take powerbombs and Niagara drivers from Kyoko.

Yeah, NJPW does that with their finishes too. Playing the same basic result to different towns is an old standard/way of doing things in wrestling. WWE does it, WCW and tons of other promotions did it.
ELPS hasn't caught onto the "why", yet. .. . ..

As match that main event frightens me. I'm at least pleased to see someone young go over though I've never really been impressed by Sato or Yuki.

Yeah, the time seems ridiculously long.  I guess they have no other choice but to push Yuki & Sato unless they want to be LLPW.  Nagisa's too fragile to push, plus her appeal is more her looks than in-ring results.

Honestly, Nagisa has decent potential as wrestler, and I think may physically finally be where she needed to be to wrestle w/o breaking something. The problem is that the damage to her shoulder is pretty much already done and seemingly can't be fixed. In ring results wise though I think she has more potential than Aya. Can't say anything about Sato though since I've seen enough of her to get a decent impression of her skill, only that she has never left me with much of one.

So, what I've been hearing from the beginning is criticism of Kyoko and Kaoru for being old ladies who always go over. So when they finally make good on their intent to elevate NEW stars they get a bad reaction.

As match that main event frightens me. I'm at least pleased to see someone young go over though I've never really been impressed by Sato or Yuki.

I think that's the point. Notice how this promotion is about elevating people different from the girls that are massively popular.
Exposure is 8/10ths of the law in wrestling, I think the intent here is to give exposure to girls who are getting left out because they never had the opportunity to be looked at or to have a veteran really guiding them to become something.

I wish I could see this show, I'm curious and I like looking at new faces.

Didn't think they were gonna go near 40 in the main but results pretty much went exactly how I figured.

I've been optomistic on DIANA since it was annouced a few months back.
If they stick to the supposed roles of Ito being more of the trainer and Kyoko being more of the booker things should turn out fine. The Kyoko/NEO didn't want to make new stars thing was always a weird opinion I never got.

That said, I fully 100% exspect Ito & Kyoko to get their wins back and come out on the winning side in some (SOME) of the upcoming mains, wouldn't surprise me at all if they take 5/1 but i'm also 100% fine with that. They need to establish for sure that Aya/Sato are the aces of this thing but the promotion won't benefit at all from turning the vets into total job girls either.

Exactly. But if they do get their wins back the first thing you'll hear is "fail", "this is just like NEO" "Kyoko's a bad booker" etc.,.  *wail
