Attendance was announced at 1012.  That's as good as anyone else is regularly drawing to Korakuen in joshi these days, so I'd expect Ice Ribbon to run it again in the future.

It was ME, and I'm damn proud of it! (Just kidding!)  *bwah

Never for the life of me had I imagined Makoto to being the ace of ANYTHING. Bizarre that she pinned Mai Ichii of all people, is it not?

considering the big audience of this Ice Ribbon show, and cosidering the big roster they have could it be that the Joshi Renaissance might start from Ice Ribbon ? if that would be so, I'm sure a certain Pozen would have an apopleptic fit !

*bwah It's nice to see Ice Ribbon ran the match on Korakuen Hall. I think, other rookie promotions must follow Sakura Emi.

She joined Ice Ribbon. No idea if her MMA career is over, but her last fight according to sherdog was last November and she won that.

It was announced that Makoto will fill in for Etsuko Mita at tomorrow's JWP show, so that nasty cut Mita got must be bad.

Oh, and more belts for Yoneyama!

Yeah Makoto.

It will be a shame if Yoneyama doesn't walk to the ring with all of her belts during her title match with Haruyama.

I think my new Ice Ribbon policy is to report on stuff outside their small gym/dojo, as they have become a viable promotion.

The main story today is Emi, who has lost quite a bit of weight over the past couple of years, has finally gotten just below 60 kg (weighed in at 59.6 kg) and is now eligible for the Ice Ribbon singles title, which has a 60 kg weight limit.  She takes the title away from Makoto.  I'm really not sure I like this booking, as it's already well-established and obvious that Emi is way ahead of everyone else in the promotion and doesn't need the title to let us know that.

Hopefully this is more than just a little ego trip (she does look pretty good  *Oni*).  It would make sense if they eventually build up Mai Ichii or one of the new MMA fighters as a viable challenger, or maybe Makoto will continue improving and eventually beat her teacher.

Boo to Makoto losing. And where Fujino and Nagano?

Question, does BJW's ref, Nikkan Lee still occasionally wrestle for Ice Ribbon. I found a clipped Ice Ribbon match from a few years ago on youtube and she looked surprisingly good.

Why, Emi-san, WHY?! *livid

After the vast improvement Makoto has undergone, you just had to take her belt away. I question the basis of this booking as well.

You're right about Nikkan, Eivion. I peeved when she executed a European Clutch, of all things.

It has to do with her gimmick.. She and and Yoneyama have a HOLD ALL TEH BELTS IN JOSHI RESU gimmick, so Emi went out of her way to lose weight so she could add another title to her waist. Now she and Yoneyama are tied in their amount of belts. I guess this might come to a head for one of them challenging for either the NEO titles or the JWP title. Hell it'd be hilarious if Yone won the JWP openweight title and Emi won the NEO Double Titles, but because it's a double title Emi technically has more belts than Yone and they could feud based solely on that...I'd seriously LMAO at that.
