Wrestling fans don't usually come in the "rich" variety. Most are working class people who make sacrifices for their hobby. This should not be news.

This and then some.

On the subject, now that the DVDs are out the people who naysayed Manami trip are still pretty quiet. Greatest of all Time.

I still need to get those. Would of definitely went if SHIMMER didn't drain my pockets from the week before.

For what it's worth, I always thought of a mark being this:

I remember when "mark" was just a term of derision for gullible fans incapable of separating people getting put over and people being actual good in ring wrestlers. The days when newbs were aghast when they came on a board and saw people praising Benoit and Guerrero more than Rock and Stone Cold.

One good example is when the non indie/joshi women wrestling fans will think that someone like Sara Del Rey is a  terrible wrestler because she hasn't been signed on to TV. they legit think that being on TV every single week means that  you are one of the best ever!

It was just yesterday that I curiously clicked on a forum link and came across someone saying that because Melissa didn't have appearance, marketability, and supposedly got no reaction from the crowd when she was in TNA (in which she did), she was a terrible wrestler.

Of course to them, having no marketability/appearance meant looking like she didn't  just walk off of the set of America's Next Top Model. As if the Divas did before they got their "grade A" WWE make over.

Their favorite "wrestler" is Michell McCool, BTW.

William Regal announced at the O2 Arena earlier today that he is getting ready to hang up the wrestling boots. After his excellent match on the UK tour with Bryan Danielson i think that a US Title feud with his former pupil would be a good sendoff for Regal.

Shame. I think he's one of the only wrestlers who will honestly retire and not make a "surprise" comeback.
